BK Hacken midfielder Silas Andersen has labelled Arsenal a "big club" and confessed he "would be happy" if the Gunners were keeping tabs on his progress.
Andersen has dominated headlines in both Sweden and Denmark this week as it's been reported that an Arsenal scout was set to attend Hacken's Conference League clash with Strasbourg on Thursday to make checks on the player.
The Swedish outfit lost the match 2-1 but the 21-year-old opened up on transfer speculation after the match and set the record straight on his future.
He said when asked if he was aware of interest from Arsenal: “I don’t know. I’ll let my agent work on it. I don’t know much.”

Pushed for a response on how he would feel if the rumours were true, Andersen added: “It’s a big club. I would be happy.”
FC Copenhagen and Nottingham Forest are also believed to be tracking the former Inter Milan youth team player. He left the Italian giants in 2023 after spending two years within their academy setup before moving to Utrecht in Holland.
The Denmark youth international also acknowledged that plenty of clubs were in the mix for his signature, explaining: “There is a lot of interest. Now people have to make a move, but we’ll see.
“I have no idea [whether he will leave in January]. It’s something I need to talk to Martin [Ericsson, football director] and Erik [Friberg, sports director] about it.”
Andersen feels he's more than ready to make the next step in his career, stating: “I’m aiming for the highest possible. That’s my goal. Yes. I feel like I’ve shown myself and what I can do. I think I’m ready, but we’ll see."
Former Arsenal player John Jensen rejoined the Gunners in 2019 as their Scandinavian scout and his primary focus has been to identify young talents for their academy.
It's understood he was involved in the deal to sign young Danish goalkeeper Lucas Nygaard from FC Nordsjaelland in 2024.
