Pakistan's former red-ball head coach has accused the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) of pending remuneration. Subsequently, the Board has come up with its own statement, refuting the accusations.

Gillespie took to his Instagram story to share an interview with the Pakistan media, where he mentioned that the Board is yet to clear his salary. Gillespie and Gary Kirsten were appointed as the red-ball and white-ball coaches, respectively, a year ago.

The PCB appointed them for a two-year contract, but things didn't go in their favour. After some controversies, both coaches left the team within six months of their appointment. The former head coach spoke for the first time about the remuneration that is still pending from the Board.

"I am still waiting on some remuneration from the PCB," wrote Jason Gillespie in one Instagram story.

"Gary Kirsten and I got sold the dream of building a team. Losing a game, and all of a sudden, that gets thrown out of the window," wrote Jason Gillespie in another story.

After this, the Board issued a statement, refuting the claims.

"The Pakistan Cricket Board refutes claims made by a former head coach on the non-payment of his dues. The PCB spokesman states that the former head coach abruptly left his position without giving a four-month notice period, which was a clear breach of the contractual terms. The coaching contract explicitly mentioned a notice period applicable to both parties, and the coach was fully aware of it."
