Former India cricketer revealed his candid reaction when Abhishek Sharma and Shubman Gill bat for the national team or their respective IPL teams. The Punjab duo have been very close to Yuvraj as they all hail from Punjab. Yuvraj has groomed them, and that is why both players keep mentioning him as a sign of gratitude for his contribution to their careers. 

The former left-handed batter has been quite vocal about praising the players and their performances in international cricket. He has always got their back; even now, he advises them whenever they are stuck in their batting technicalities. Recently, in an interview on Curly Tales YouTube channel, Yuvraj came in with his mother, where they spoke about the players. Yuvraj said, "I get nervous when Abhishek and Shubman are batting."

His mother, Shabnam Singh, revealed that many cricketers are afraid of the 43-year-old because he is quite strict when it comes to being a mentor. She further went on to mention how petrified do Shubman and Abhishek feel when Yuvi engages in post-match conversations with them. 

"A lot of people are scared of him like Shubman Gill, Abhishek Sharma. After their games are over, in the evening, he will call them and be like 'what kind of shot did you play?. They get petrified of him," she said.

Abhishek earns maiden BCCI central contract

BCCI released the list of central contracts where Shubman Gill retained his name in Grade A, whereas  is included in Grade C. Apart from them, BCCI has included Shreyas Iyer and Ishan Kishan in the contract after excluding them last year.

This is the first time Abhishek has been included in the list after his terrific knocks in the T20Is for India in the recent past, where he has already had two centuries in the shortest format of the game.
