However, he couuldn't generate the required elevation as the tall Australian ended up reverse-cupping the ball.

Earlier in the afternoon, won the toss and elected to field first. While Shreyas Iyer announced that the hosts would be going ahead with an unchanged XI, RCB brought in Romario Shepherd in place of the off-colour English all-rounder, Liam Livingstone.

The two sides clashed a couple of days earlier at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium when ended up clinching the rain-shortened game by five wickets and 11 deliveries to spare. David was awarded the Player of the Match in a losing cause for his unbeaten 50 off 26 in addition to two catches.
