The film tells a gripping and sensitive story revolved around Janaki, a young survivor of sexual assault. Her quest for justice takes a difficult turn after the mysterious death of her father during a political protest. The drama explores the harsh realities faced by survivors and highlights the struggles within the legal system. Along with Suresh Gopi and Anupama Parameswaran, the cast includes Shruti Ramachandran, Madhav Suresh, Baiju Santhosh, Divya Pillai, and Aksar Ali, who play key supporting roles.
JSK encountered obstacles with the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) due to its original title, Janaki v. State of Kerala. The board raised concerns because "Janaki" is also the name of the Hindu goddess Sita, and they found it inappropriate to associate the name with a rape survivor in the film’s context. To secure certification, the filmmakers revised the title to Janaki V vs State of Kerala and muted the name "Janaki" during one courtroom scene as required by the board.

Written and directed by Pravin Narayanan, JSK is produced by J Phanindra Kumar under Cosmos Entertainments, with Sethuraman Nair Kankol as co-producer. ZEE5 promoted the film on Instagram with a strong message.
