Actor Dharmendra passed away on Tuesday, November 11, at the age of 89 at Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai, his team confirmed. He had been battling a long battle with illness in the ICU for the past 11 days. The veteran actor was admitted due to respiratory problems. Known as Bollywood's He-Man, Dharmendra left behind an illustrious cinematic career spanning over six decades. Last Monday, the actor's condition worsened, and he was rushed to the hospital.
The entire Deol family was with him at the hospital during his final moments. The news of his passing has cast a pall of gloom over the film industry and his fans. Millions of fans are expressing their grief by paying their last respects to him on social media. He had been hospitalized for the past few days. He was shifted to the ICU after experiencing breathing problems, but due to age-related complications, he could not be saved.
Dharmendra was visited by prominent Bollywood stars during his final moments. Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, Aryan Khan, Ameesha Patel, Genelia Deshmukh, and Riteish Deshmukh visited Dharmendra at the hospital. These stars were seen leaving the hospital with tearful eyes.
Dharmendra will be seen on screen for the last time in "21." The veteran actor will be seen in a pivotal role alongside Agastya Nanda and Simar Bhatia. Bollywood's He-Man may no longer be with us, but he has left a legacy in the world of cinema.
