Super Food Roti: For years, a type of bread has been made in Chhatarpur district, known as Birra Roti in the regional language. This bread isn't made with ordinary wheat flour. In fact, wheat and chickpea flour are required for this bread, and only then is it baked into a roti.

80-year-old Keshkali explains that in the past, everyone in our area used to eat Birra Roti. To make this bread, you first need to mix wheat and chickpea flour and grind it. 2 kilograms of chickpea flour is added to 5 kilograms of wheat. Previously, Birra Roti was made with only chopped wheat and chickpea flour, but now people eat roti made with W-ground flour.
How Birra Roti is Made
Grandmothers explain that to make Birra Roti, first take the wheat-chickpea flour mixed with ground flour. Add a little celery. Add a little ghee or oil and salt, and knead the dough. Then, bake it in a pan just like you would a normal roti. Eating this roti with ghee is simply unique.
This roti contains protein.
Dr. Alok Chaurasia explains that regular wheat roti provides carbohydrates, which provide energy. However, Birra roti provides a good amount of protein and fiber. Therefore, we don't need to eat any other protein-rich foods. This Birra roti itself provides us with protein, fiber, and carbohydrates.
Digestion also remains strong.
The doctor explains that chickpeas are mixed into this flour. Chickpeas can cause stomach problems in some people. However, celery is added while kneading the dough, which prevents any stomach problems. It maintains proper digestion.

This roti is a storehouse of energy.
This roti contains abundant amounts of protein, fiber, and carbohydrates. Therefore, this roti is also called a treasure trove of energy. It is said that ancient people lived up to 100 years by eating this bread.
