In a conversation with Local 18, Akhilesh Pandey, an astrologer at Griha Sthanam in Rishikesh, Uttarakhand, said that Sharadiya Navratri is extremely important not only from a religious perspective but also according to Vastu Shastra. Following these Vastu tips while worshipping the various forms of the Goddess during the nine days brings a flow of positive energy into the home, bringing happiness, prosperity, wealth, and mental peace. Day 1 – Shailputri Puja and Decoration of the Main Door
On the first day of Navratri, Goddess Shailputri is worshipped. According to Vastu, the main door of the house should be decorated with flowers and mango leaves on this day. Drawing a swastika and auspicious symbols on the door brings positive energy into the house and prevents negative forces from entering.
Day 2 – Brahmacharini and Purification of the Kitchen
On the second day, Goddess Brahmacharini is worshipped. On this day, cleaning the kitchen especially and sprinkling camphor or Ganga water is considered auspicious. Vastu Shastra states that keeping the kitchen pure is essential for the health and prosperity of the family.

Day 7 – Kaalratri and Destruction of Negative Energy
Worshipping Goddess Kaalratri on the seventh day destroys evil forces. According to Vastu, on this day, one should mop the corners of the house with salt water and burn camphor. This eliminates negative energy and purifies the atmosphere.
Day 8 – Mahagauri and Health Benefits

Day 9 – Siddhidatri and Universal Success
Maa Siddhidatri is worshipped on Navami. On this day, one should clean the center of the house and light a ghee lamp in a brass lamp. This brings success and prosperity to all members of the household.
