The rainfall is likely to occur in Western Ghats, Puducherry, Karaikal, Nilgiris, Vellore, Ranipet, Tenkasi, Tirupattur, Coimbatore, Tirunelveli, Theni, Kancheepuram, Chengalpattu, Ariyalur, and Perambalur. The weather department has issued an orange alert.
