A woman who recently faced backlash for posting a video mocking and body-shaming a Rapido rider in Delhi has now posted a clarification on Instagram, apologising to the driver but maintaining a defiant tone. In her latest video, she reiterated that while the driver works hard, her money also comes from hard work and does not 'fall from a tree for free.' She further stated that if she is booking a Rapido ride, she will prioritise her own comfort.

Woman Issues Video Clarification After Social Media Outrage

In the clarification video, she said she never intended to insult the driver. “I had mentioned at the very start of my earlier video that I did not want to humiliate him. I didn’t want to, and I meant it,” she claimed. She added that her comment about the driver at the end of the earlier video was wrong, and for that, she was “sorry to the Rapido bhaiya,” but insisted the video was neither scripted nor made for publicity.

Woman Defends Her Stand Over 'Unnecessary Outrage'

The woman also criticised those who, according to her, made the video go viral. She alleged that accounts with millions of followers and views regularly lift such clips, post them without context and create unnecessary outrage. This, she said, has led to both her and the driver receiving hate. “People with huge accounts steal random content and post it. They spread it the wrong way, and that’s why I am getting hate and even that bhaiya is being told I body-shamed him,” she said.

She further lashed out at her critics, saying that those who accused her of being wrong were themselves making videos and earning money from them. “If you think I did wrong, then you are doing the same. There is no difference between you and me. You can’t call yourself right while calling me wrong,” she remarked.
