There could be some missing scenes we may never witness, that could explain Dawn Taylor's decision to shove her lover Joe Tate out of a window.
Monday night brought the confession from Dawn to her betrayed husband Billy Fletcher that she was the one who pushed Joe as the whodunnit was quickly concluded. Of course no one else is yet to find out about the crime, and the secret could rumble on for months.
The confession came without a flashback or explanation, with a cliffhanger on Monday night simply exposing Dawn's guilt. Emmerdale have yet to reveal whether we will see the truth and what really happened onscreen, or if it will always be an unaired plot twist.
That said, Dawn actress has told The what really led to Dawn pushing Joe, and whether she meant to hurt him. She explained to us that she doesn't really know herself what happened upstairs in Home Farm that led to the brutal attack.
She hasn't actually filmed the moment to be screened later on, with her revealing something happened between the couple that was not shown. There's every chance we will never see what happened and why she turned on Joe, while there's also the likelihood that Joe will know it was her.

But Olivia has us covered in terms of what led Dawn to taking action and whether she'd planned to seek revenge. She also detailed what she thinks happened in this moments leading up to Joe's plunge out of the window.
It's safe to say Olivia was expecting to be told by bosses that she was the guilty party too, in a confession that might surprise fans. She explained: "I thought it was the kind of thing she’d do! I think it’s quite interesting because it is that thing where she’s just felt so infatuated by this man and she’s basically given up everything.
"As an actor I thought we worked so hard for her to have this stability and this relationship with this family that she loves, but I always think Dawn has that slight addict brain that, when she is infatuated by something or she’s obsessed, the addict comes out and she can’t help herself and that’s the same with Joe. With that in mind, her doing the push was frustration at herself as well."
On what she believes happened in the unaired confrontation, she told us: "It was an accidental push, basically, but it was because of the way he was acting to her. I would say it’s a classic crime of passion, really. In the moment, the scales have fallen from her eyes and she’s seen this man that she thought was so different, and she’s like ‘Oh my God.’
"I think it was that moment of lioness mother power, basically. Also the way he tried to manipulate her in the moment. You don’t see on screen what actually happened, so I don’t know what happened in that moment but how I imagine what happened is that she comes in and tries to confront him and he turns on his manipulation and enough is enough.
"I think it’s an accident, a pure accident. It wasn’t like ‘I’m going to kill you,’ it just happened. But what does the future hold for the character?
She spilled: "Dawn has basically sabotaged everything she’s built up, but interestingly I think she’ll find a real strength and resilience and, hey, it’s a new Dawn!"
