Reflecting on the surgery, Lorraine shared details of her health scare: "I had a burst cyst coming back on the plane in January, I was coming back from India, and I had this cyst that burst. An ovarian cyst."
She continued to explain the urgency of her situation: "I got a scan, they found that on the other cyst there was something suspicious so to be safe and to prevent anything awful happening we cut it out.", reports .
Lorraine added: "I got keyhole surgery, I've got three new holes, bunch of three, keyhole surgery to whip out the ovaries and fallopian tubes. So everything is good, nothing sinister, it's all good."
Yet, Lorraine wasn't shy to admit the post-surgery struggles: "One night in hospital, two weeks recovery, I've just got to take it easy."
Expressing her frustration, she confessed: "The only thing I can't do, which is so frustrating, I can't hold Billie [Lorraine's granddaughter], I can't lift her up!
"We went in to get my checkup, Rosie [Lorraine's daughter] took me so we took Billie in, Mr Raafat was holding Billie and I said when can I hold her. Billie is a chunk, a gorgeous chunk, and he went: 'Oh, not until the end of the month!'"
Earlier this month, Lorraine had informed her followers about her health situation with a video message saying: "Hi there, it's Lorraine here, just wanted to let you know I'm having a wee procedure today. I've not been feeling all that well for a little while."
She elaborated on her condition, stating: "So I had some scans and tests and I have to have my ovaries and my tubes taken out."
Emphasising the preventative nature of the surgery, she added: "It's purely preventative, it's going to be with keyhole surgery, which is incredible, I've been very well looked after and I'll obviously see you really soon. I'm going to be totally fine, see you soon!"
Following her operation, Lorraine expressed her thanks on : "Huge thanks to these kind, caring, gorgeous professionals who took care of me at @heatherwoodhospital."
She concluded with heartfelt appreciation for her medical team: "Back home now and following doctors orders to rest up - My surgeon Mr Ahmed Rafaat has been so reassuring throughout - and I can't thank the whole team enough! #care #kindness #professionalism #thanks #hospital #lucky."
