The Chase's Anne Hegerty has broken her silence on claims that she's secretly married. The quizzing star, 67, appeared on ITV's Loose Women today to speak about the new series of Beat the Chasers.
Anne was asked about her love life, with host Christine Lampard wanting to know about her mystery 'husband'. She asked: "Anne - according to a recent Wikipedia page entry, it's confirmed that you were indeed married to an unknown man. Who was this mystery husband?"
Setting the record straight, Anne said: "I have no idea. Somebody vandalized my Wikipedia page and claimed that I was married to somebody called Jake Hester.

"I have no idea if he even exists, I've certainly never met him. My brother didn't help when he messaged me and said, 'I've got to meet this guy!'"
When asked whether she was single, Anne said: "I'm fine, I'm absolutely fine."
As for whether she would do Celebs Go Dating, Anne said: "I don't really think so. I'm really quite introverted, really I need a lot of down time and a lot of alone time."
Anne rose to fame as a star on The Chase back in 2010 and has since appeared on The Chase Australia, Britain's Brightest Family and I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here.
Earlier this year, Anne opened up about her romantic life, admitting that the longest relationship she's ever had has been four months. "He was a lovely bloke, but I am just not good with the sort of attention that people need," she said.
She told The Guardian: "I think the problem is I find it really difficult to fall in love with real people. I've thought: 'Am I in love with this guy?' And then we kind of get together and I think, 'Damn it, no, oh dear.'"
Anne later told OK! magazine that she struggles to stay in the moment, saying: "I get overwhelmed in the presence of actual people and everything shuts down. I've found that with sex, too. It's like I can't be fully in it. That much intimacy, I almost zone out."
Earlier this month, Anne said that she "really wouldn't" want someone to share her life with. "I used to, but I realised I was wanting to want it rather than genuinely wanting a romantic relationship," she said.
"I don’t even want pets. I’ve got pot plants and I mind when they die, but no, I’m very happy in my own company. I’m just fine."
