However, she’s now used them in her favour, announcing that she’s a written a book titled “Bimbo”.

Taking to Instagram on Tuesday, Ashley shared: “I cannot believe I am finally saying this, but I’ve written a book and it’s available for preorder now! Introducing Bimbo to the world! I cannot WAIT for you to read this book because it’s going to change your life!”

She went on to say that her new project has been “a real labour of love over the last few months” and involved “many late nights” but she’s incredibly proud of the outcome.

“Bimbo is a powerful, personal, and political exploration of how society shrinks women through language, expectations, and historical oppression,” she went on.

“From “bossy” little girls to “tarty” teens, “hysterical” mothers and “left-on-the-shelf” single women, I unpack the labels that box us in and the systems that keep us there.

“It’s full of raw personal stories (absolutely sh**ting myself!), humour, and a fierce feminist lens – it’s both a cultural critique and a call to arms.

“I expose how the world pits women against each other, polices our bodies and choices, and teaches us to disappear. But it doesn’t have to be this way.

“This book is a battle cry for every woman who’s ever felt too much or not enough. A call to stop shrinking, stop competing, and start rising – together.

“It’s the book I wish I’d had as a teen navigating slut-shaming and double standards. The book I wish I had when googling how to be confident. The book I needed when I was single, being told I was too picky. The book I wish I’d had as a new mum navigating judgement, identity shifts, and sadness.

“It’s basically everything I’ve learned from girlhood into womanhood – and the book I want my son and daughter to read one day.”

She concluded her lengthy post by saying: “I cannot WAIT for you to get your hands on it. Please please pre-order now – it means the world!”

Ashley was showered in support from fans and friends alike, with Love Island star Olivia Bowen writing: “Go go go my girl so proud of you!!!!!! Getting my copy ASAP.”

Fellow ITV star Katie Piper said: “This sounds great! Can’t wait to read it.”

“Ordered ! I want us to reclaim the C word ! That piece of kit is so damn brilliant and yet it’s used as the most vile of swear words!?” Nadia Sawalha said.

Steph McGovern added: “Yes Proud of you honey xxx.”

The video Ashley posted saw her reading the book while screenshots of the comments trolls had posted surrounded her, from people calling her “annoying” and “a typical blonde bimbo”, hence the name of her book.

She then says: “People have called me every name in the book, so I wrote my own.”

This Morning airs weekdays from 10am on ITV1 and ITVX.
