has had some ups and downs so far this year, but it’s found itself on a mountaintop lately. The latest addition to the Xbox Game Pass roster came when , landing on the service as well as across and . It’s undoubtedly a massive appearance from the iconic RPG, but it hasn’t ended there, especially after in the .

Games have been firing out left, right, and centre for Game Pass subscribers, and though there have been some big losses like the that continued until no games from the franchise were left, it’s still been a good time to be a subscriber. That doesn’t mean the losses have ceased entirely, though.

More games are set to leave the Xbox Game Pass service incredibly soon, and it’s up to you to decide if their absence justifies the new games joining in – especially as one FPS series is losing a belter in the process. Here’s what you need to know about the Xbox Game Pass games leaving as we enter May.

Xbox Game Pass shows its poor aim

As revealed when we took a look at the final April drop for Xbox Game Pass, here are the games set to leave the service on Wednesday, April 30:

  • EA Sports NHL 23 (console, EA Play)
  • Have a Nice Death (console, cloud, PC)
  • Kona 2 Brume (console, cloud, PC)
  • Sniper Elite 5 (console, cloud, PC)
  • The Last Case of Benedict Fox (console, cloud, PC)
  • Thirsty Suitors (console, cloud, PC)
  • The Rewinder (console, cloud, PC)

It’s not an insignificant number of games leaving, of course, accentuated by the departure of Sniper Elite 5. It’s a curious loss, especially as landed on the service in the . Of course, players will be more allured by the most recent title, but to strip out the game that came directly before it is still strange after the series made a comfortable home on the pass.

These losses are frustrating, and in a difficult turn for players, often forgotten about in the hype for new and incoming games, so make note of the games you want to play before they depart the service, or put to use the small discount you’ll get on buying them before they’re off the service entirely. It’s a small price to pay for all of those day one releases.
