British food shoppers have been urged to inspect their kitchen cupboards as several popular products face urgent recalls this week. The Food Standards Agency has issued safety alerts for several products sold in major supermarkets, including Aldi, Home Bargains, and Lidl.
While the recalls affect a range of items, many sweet treats have been pulled from shelves this week due to undeclared allergens or possible contamination. One product in particular has been flagged as a health risk because its allergen information is not listed in English. Here is the full list of recalls issued this week.
Aldi Dairyfine Crispy Choc Um's Aldi is issuing a precautionary recall of its Dairyfine Crispy Choc Um's after the product was found to potentially contain peanuts. The chocolate treats may pose a serious health risk to anyone with a peanut allergy.
The FSA shared: "If you have bought the above product and have an allergy to peanuts, do not eat it. Instead, return it to the store from where it was bought for a full refund."

Aldi is withdrawing PYB02 PANATAS Part-baked six-pack Custard Tarts as they contain egg, milk, and wheat (gluten), and may also contain hazelnuts, sesame, and soya, none of which appear on the labelling.
This renders the product a possible health hazard for anyone with an allergy to these components or for anyone suffering from coeliac disease. Shoppers who have purchased the tarts are advised not to consume them and to return the product to their Aldi branch to receive a refund.

The Food Safety Authority of Ireland (FSAI) has warned that Rose Halloween Spooky Tea Cakes, which were mispackaged with Rose Orchard Tea Cakes, contain egg - an ingredient not mentioned on the label.
The FSAI stated: "The above batches of Rose Halloween Spooky Tea Cakes were mispacked with Rose Orchard Tea Cakes. The product contains egg, which is not mentioned on the label. This may make the implicated batches unsafe for consumers who are allergic to or intolerant of eggs, and therefore, these consumers should not eat the implicated batches. The affected batches are being recalled."

The FSA has revealed that retailer TJ Morris is removing Milka Hazelnut, Milka Whole Nut, and Milka Oreo Brownie chocolates from the shelves due to allergen information not being declared in English on the packaging.
It stated: "This means the product is a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy or intolerance to milk or milk constituents, an allergy to hazelnuts (nuts) and/or soya, and/or an allergy or intolerance to wheat or gluten, or with coeliac disease. The affected products were sold by TJ Morris at Home Bargains."

Lidl GB XXL Sondey Stroopwaffel with Caramel Flavour Filling & Butter Lidl GB has announced a recall for its XXL Sondey Stroopwaffel with Caramel Flavour Filling & Butter following the discovery that the item may contain small metal fragments.
The metal contamination renders the product unsafe to eat and creates a potential health hazard for shoppers. Purchasers of this product are urged not to consume it and should return it to their local Lidl branch for a complete refund.
