has denied using her HRH title , years after she agreed not to use it when she stepped down as a senior working royal, it has emerged. The Duchess of Sussex appeared in a new podcast interview with co-founder of IT Cosmetics Jamie Kern Lima, who shared a picture of a card sent to her by Meghan last year. Shown during the podcast on a gift basket, the card read "With Compliments of HRH The Duchess of Sussex".
Meghan's move sparked backlash from royal fans and royal watchers, but her representatives denied that she uses the title Her Royal Highness after relinquishing royal duties. A report said: "A spokesman for the Sussexes said they do not use HRH titles." Although no laws were passed or documents signed to prevent their use, Harry and Meghan's agreement with the late Queen and senior officials was that they would stop using the word "Royal" publicly after what was christened Megxit Day on March 31, 2020, when the couple officially stepped down.
The Express has contacted the Duchess of Sussex and Buckingham Palace for comment.
