Ricky Hatton's funeral takes place today with the boxing legend's life to be honoured following his tragic death last month. Hatton passed away at his home in Manchester on September 14 at the age of 46. His funeral is being held at Manchester Cathedral at noon with supporters asked to line the streets to pay their respects as the procession makes its way from Hyde to the city centre.
Beginning at 9.45am, the procession will start on Stockport Road before a pause at Harehill Tavern. It will then stop at The New Inn - where doves will be released - and Hatton's gym before passing Hyde Town Hall, Betta Bodies Gym and the AO Arena. A private memorial service is to be held at the Cathedral and the procession will then depart for the Etihad Stadium, home of Hatton's beloved Manchester City.
