Xavi is reportedly prepared to accept the Manchester United position straight away should Ruben Amorim face the axe. The former Barcelona head caoch remains without a club following his dismissal at the conclusion of the 2023/24 campaign. Xavi secured La Liga glory and the Supercopa de Espana during his three-year stint back at the Camp Nou, where he spent 17 years as a player.
And the 133-cap Spain international appears eager to return to the dugout after spending more than a season on the sidelines. Transfer expert reports that Xavi has his sights set on the Old Trafford hot seat should Amorim be shown the door. The Portuguese boss is facing mounting scrutiny following United's 3-1 defeat at Brentford on Saturday, which allowed the Bees to climb above the Red Devils in the standings.
Speaking on his YouTube channel, Romano revealed: "Xavi is studying the Premier League, Xavi is monitoring the Premier League, and Xavi would go immediately to Manchester United. Even without European football, he would go immediately to the Premier League.
"He would love a Premier League opportunity. But at the moment, nothing again at all (with Manchester United)."
Amorim's position has come under enormous scrutiny, having claimed victory in just nine of his 33 Premier League matches at the helm of the Old Trafford outfit.

Since taking charge on November 1, the Portuguese boss oversaw the club's most disappointing Premier League campaign ever, finishing 15th, whilst his rigid commitment to deploying his 3-4-3 formation remains unchanged despite United's continued struggles at the beginning of the fresh season.
Despite the rumours, it's understood that Amorim still has the backing of the United board, who brought him on board nearly 11 months ago as their first managerial appointment following INEOS' takeover.
Xavi is also reportedly being eyed for a managerial role in Saudi Arabia with Al-Ittihad. The Saudi Pro League team recently dismissed former United and France defender Laurent Blanc, despite him leading them to victory in three out of four league games at the start of the season.
Xavi could be set for a return to the Middle East, where he previously played and managed Qatari side Al Sadd.
Meanwhile, Erik ten Hag, former United boss, is also said to be on Al-Ittihad's shortlist after his abrupt dismissal from Bayer Leverkusen just two matches into the Bundesliga season.
