Argos and Very have gone head to head with rival sales on their Apple Watch line-up. Both retailers are offering £100 off select models of Apple's smartwatches, including the Series 10, the latest version to hit the market.
Argos says its deals are the 'lowest price' ever offered, with a selection of Apple Watches available for the same price at Very. The main model is the Apple Watch Series 10 GPS 42mm with Jet Black Sport Band, which has been reduced from £399 to £299 at Argos and Very.
Apple says this model features the biggest display on an Apple Watch, with more screen area and a thinner, lighter design. It offers a raft of 'advanced' health and fitness features including monitoring of heart rate, sleep and tracking for workouts like running, cycling and swimming.
The watch lets users stay on top of their personal and professional lives with real-time notifications for text, email and social media, as well as the ability to make phone calls from the device. Other key features include weather forecasts, music control, GPS and fall detection.
It also offers faster charging that delivers 80 percent battery in around 30 minutes. Also in the sale is the Apple Watch Series 10 GPS 42mm Rose Gold Light Blush (£299), which both Argos and Very have highlighted as an 'in demand' product.
The final item at Argos is the Apple Watch Series 10 GPS 42mm with Jet Black Ink Sport Loop (£299), which comes with a durable nylon strap rather than the silicone band of the other models. Very also offers this model, but gives shoppers a larger choice of colours, including a Silver Aluminium Case with Blue Cloud Sport Loop and a Rose Gold Aluminium Case with Plum Sport Loop.
For shoppers looking to keep costs down, Sky Mobile offers the same devices on monthly plans, with shoppers able to spread the cost and pay nothing upfront. They range from the £7 Apple Watch SE (GPS 40mm) and £13 Apple Watch Series 10 (GPS 42mm).
Tech editor Dave Snelling reviewed the Series 10 last year and awarded it five stars, hailing it as a 'formidable upgrade' from previous models. He said: "The Series 10 is another impressive device from Apple.
"The bigger screen, improved charging, refreshed titanium design and bonus extras such as checking for sleep apnoea are all nice updates. It's also thinner and lighter than before, gets that neat ticking seconds hand when in always-on mode and it's still able to check your fitness, transform into a digital wallet and even save your life should you fall.
"It's now so advanced there's very little it can't do and it's become a device we now struggle to live without. If you have an older wearable on your wrist it's definitely time for a change and this device is super simple for us to recommend.
"Our only gripes are the lack of an Action Button and it still won't get through a weekend without needing a refill. If you own a Series 9 there's also not a huge reason to upgrade this year especially as that device is getting the sleep apnoea upgrade via a software update."
