Railways to run special trains to ease summer rush

Prayagraj: To accommodate the increased passenger rush during summer vacations, the railways would run several special trains on select routes for a limited period.

Among these, a special weekly train (04155/04156) will run between Subedarganj and Udhna from April 21 to June 30. It will depart from Subedarganj every Monday, and the return journey from Udhna will take place every Tuesday. Another weekly special train (04813/04814) will operate between Bhagat Ki Kothi and Danapur. This service will run 10 times between April 23 and June 26.

A special train (04098/04097) between Anand Vihar Terminal and Sitamarhi will run from April 22 to July 12, departing from Anand Vihar every Tuesday and Friday, and returning from Sitamarhi every Wednesday and Saturday, with a total of 24 trips scheduled.

Additionally, the Anand Vihar Terminal–Jogbani special train (04094/04093) will operate from April 24 to July 12, running every Thursday from Anand Vihar and every Saturday from Jogbani, for a total of 12 trips.

Another weekly service (09037/09038) between Udhna and Barauni will run from April 20 to June 30, with departures every Sunday from Udhna and every Monday from Barauni. According to Ragini Singh, PRO of North Central Railway, the frequency of the Secunderabad (Charlapalli)–Danapur special train (07419/07420) was increased. This train will now run on April 19 and 26 from Charlapalli, with returns from Danapur on April 21 and 28.

Meanwhile, there was a change in the platform of a few trains. From April 23, train number 14117 Prayagraj–Bhiwani Kalindi Express will now depart from platform 1 instead of 6. Its return train, 14118, will arrive at platform 5 instead of 6 from April 24. Meanwhile, 14116 Prayagraj–Dr. Ambedkarnagar Express, which travels via Ujjain to Indore, will continue its regular route. Amit Kumar Singh, PRO of Prayagraj division, urged passengers to confirm platform details before their travel dates to avoid inconvenience.
