BENGALURU: An Indian Air Force officer and his wife were allegedly assaulted by a group of men in Bengaluru on Sunday evening.
As per the media reports, the incident occurred while the couple — Wing Commander Aditya Bose and his wife, Squadron Leader Madhumita — were heading to the airport in their car from the DRDO Colony in CV Raman Nagar.
Wing Commander Bose shared a video on his Instagram account detailing the attack, in which he claimed that a biker began tailing their vehicle and started verbally abusing them in Kannada.
In the Instagram video, Wing Commander Bose — his face and neck smeared with blood from the injuries — alleged that the biker suddenly stopped his vehicle in front of their car and began hurling abuses at them in Kannada.
Bose claimed that upon noticing the DRDO sticker on their car, the attacker grew more aggressive and directed verbal abuse at his wife as well.
When Bose stepped out of the vehicle to confront him, the biker allegedly struck him on the forehead with a key.
The biker then allegedly threw a stone at their vehicle, striking Bose again on the head.
In the video, Wing Commander Bose recounted the entire incident and expressed disappointment that, instead of offering help, bystanders hurled abuse at him and his wife.
As per reports, an FIR is expected to be filed following a formal complaint.
