The BCCI announced on Monday that the IPL season will resume from May 17 across six venues, with the final scheduled for June 3 under the revised timetable. The tournament had been suspended on May 8 after the match between Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals was called off due to Pakistan attempting to breach Indian airspace near Chandigarh, which caused a blackout at the stadium.
Following a ceasefire agreement between India and Pakistan, board officials opted for a swift restart of the league.

In an official statement, the BCCI said, "After extensive consultations with government and security agencies and all key stakeholders, the Board has decided to proceed with the remainder of the season."
The first game after the resumption will be Royal Challengers Bengaluru versus Kolkata Knight Riders on May 17 in Bengaluru.
The six venues hosting league matches per the updated schedule are Bengaluru, Jaipur, Delhi, Lucknow, Ahmedabad, and Mumbai.
Playoff venues will be announced later, but the dates have been confirmed: Qualifier 1 on May 29, the Eliminator on May 30, Qualifier 2 on June 1, and the final on June 3.
Seventeen matches will be played across the six venues, including two double-headers scheduled on two Sundays.
What's changed in the IPL 2025 schedule?
Compared to the original schedule, the dates have, obviously, changed for all the remaining league stage matches. In some cases the timings and venues have also changed. Dharamsala will not be hosting any more matches for PBKS.
