INDORE: The UK is facing division amid an anti-immigration movement, while India remains united because it possesses the wisdom passed down by its ancestors, RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat said Sunday.
"The world operates on faith and trust, not logic. We led the world for 3,000 years without conquering any country, suppressing any trade, or converting anyone. Wherever we went, we spread civilisation, knowledge, & skills that enriched life," he remarked at a book launch in Indore.
Referring to former British PM Winston Churchill, Bhagwat said India has disproved all his predictions and continues to progress. "Churchill said that after Independence, we would not survive and would fall apart, but that did not happen. (Instead) England is now facing division..." Bhagwat concluded by attributing global conflicts and problems to the pursuit of personal interests.
