NEW DELHI: An encounter between security forces and terrorists broke out in Jammu and Kashmir ’s Doda-Udhampur border on Friday evening, injuring one soldier.
“In an intelligence-based operation in the general area of Kishtwar, alert troops of White Knight Corps established contact with terrorists at around 8 pm on 19 Sep 25. Exchange of fire took place. Operations are currently in progress,” the White Knight Corps posted on X.
However, in a later update, it confirmed the location of the encounter as Doda-Udhampur border. "Contact Site of the ongoing operation is Doda-Udhampur border. Operation continues," it said.
The Army did not immediately share details on the number of terrorists involved or casualties initially. But, after a little while, a soldier was reported injured according to PTI.
