The violence erupted around 7:30 pm (local time) near Haffen Park in the Bronx, where a large crowd had gathered to watch a community basketball tournament , New York Post reported.

According to police, 32-year-old Jaceil Banks was shot in the chest and later succumbed to his injuries. A 29-year-old woman and two men, aged 42 and 30, were also struck by gunfire and are being treated at local hospitals.
Among other injured was 17-year-old Anthonaya Campbell, who was shot in the head while sitting on a bench with friends.
On Sunday morning, the NYPD confirmed that four people were taken into custody and six firearms were recovered.
