The accident took place on Sailana-Banswara road when 22-year-old Ramlal Damor, a resident of Ranpur village in Pratapgarh district, Rajasthan, was travelling with two relatives to Seliyarundi in Sailana area to distribute his wedding invitations at his aunt's home. When they reached near Bawadikheda village, close to the Rajasthan-Madhya Pradesh border, Ramlal's motorcycle collided with an oncoming scooter.

Ramlal and 52-year-old Gani Mohammad, a resident of Ratlam, who was on the oncoming vehicle, died instantly due to severity of the impact. Another scooter passenger, 48-year-old Mohammad Rafiq Qureshi, was injured in the crash. Ramlal's relatives — his cousin Govind and nephew Manshu — also sustained injuries.

Upon receiving the alert, Sarvan police reached the scene and the victims were sent to Ratlam Medical College by 7:30pm. Sarvan police station in-charge Arjun Semliya confirmed that two people died and three were injured in the accident, with further investigation underway. Postmortems of the deceased were carried out on Sunday morning
